Balance and fall prevention
A fall changes everything, and the fear of one changes almost as much. Balance training is measurable, it works at any age, and it starts with a simple assessment.
- First visit
- 60 minutes, includes a written fall-risk score
- Typical plan
- 8 to 12 visits
- Family
- Welcome at every session
We test standing balance, walking speed, and how you recover from a stumble. The numbers tell us your fall risk and give us something concrete to improve.
Training is progressive and specific: stepping, turning, getting up from the floor, walking while talking. Family members are welcome to sit in.
We also look at the practical stuff, from footwear to which rugs in the house need to go.

Before your first visit
Anything else, get in touch.
- Do I need a referral?
- No. Texas allows direct access to physical therapy, so you can book straight in. Some insurance plans want a referral for coverage, and we will tell you if yours does.
- Do you take my insurance?
- We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, and Medicare. Send a photo of your card and we will check your benefits before your first visit.
- What should I wear?
- Something you can move in. Shorts for knee and hip problems, a tank or loose shirt for shoulders. We have changing rooms if you are coming from work.
- How long is a session?
- The first visit is 60 minutes. Follow-ups are 45 to 60 minutes and always one-on-one with the same therapist.
- Will it hurt?
- Some of it may be uncomfortable, none of it should be painful. You are in charge of the pace, and every technique is explained before it happens.
In pain today?
Call and we will find you the first open slot, often the same day.
